Yellowknife is far enough up North to give excellent views on most of the clear nights.
Nunavat
Canada’s biggest and newest territory, Nunavat is the best area in North America to view the lights. It covers the Arctic Circle as well as the magnetic North Pole. Some of the places in this beautiful region can be found far north, so viewers have to look south to see the Aurora Borealis. It has some remote lakes in the interior areas, some without names. But, this is the place to enjoy the Aurora views if you are one those persons with a pioneering adventure spirit!
Alaska
The Fairbanks area in Alaska boasts a true Northern Lights culture and offers some great views.  Although this US state is not associated often with Aurora Borealis, it’s still located strategically in the Northern region.
Tromso Norway
Located on the far north side of Norway and the Arctic Circle, Tromso is certainly one of the finest cities in the world. Vibrant, urbane and stunningly beautiful, the city is often called The Northern Paris. But, at four hundred kilometers within the Arctic Circle, Tromso is far enough to the north to guarantee wonderful viewing of the Aurora on any clear winter night.
