Aurora Borealis Forecast has no accounts and no ad trackers.

The tonight tool sends your ZIP code, or your location rounded to about a kilometer, to our server to compute the forecast. That lookup is not stored, apart from short-lived server logs. Your last search is saved only in your browser (localStorage).

We count page views, lookups and sign-ups as daily totals to see what's useful. These counts contain no IP addresses, email addresses, cookies or identifiers.

If you sign up for alerts, we store your email address, ZIP code, alert setting, and timestamps in Cloudflare D1. Alert emails are sent with Cloudflare Email Service. Unsubscribing deletes that data.

Cloudflare processes requests as our host.

Alert emails are not monitored, so a reply will not reach anyone. To delete your data, use the unsubscribe link in any email.
